Children’s Ministry News from Clarice for September 2010

September: the hope of cooler weather and the activities of the Fall season are on the horizon.  School has started bringing a host of activities that will keep our children and their parents busy.

It is also the beginning of the new church year.  Several children will be promoted to new classes.  We wish these children, young people, and teachers a good learning experience in the Lord.

Children’s Church workers this month are Heather and Jay for the first two (2) Sundays and Jane and Daymond for the third (3rd) Sunday.  The lessons for this month teach us how the Bible helps us learn.

Mrs. Lorene’s class (Pre-K - K) will be studying about the Bible’s impact on Me in Sunday School.  Grades 1 – 3 will be studying the Greatness of God and the 4 – 6th grades will study the different names of God and the meaning of each.

We still need a Wednesday night teacher in the new church year.  If you would be interested in teaching the 4 – 5 year old class, please contact me.

Please pray for our teachers as they study to teach God’s Word to the children of Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clarice

Children's Choir - Children's Music Series

Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the choir room.  Kids ages 4 - 12.  Children's Music Series

God is the Master Designer of heaven and earth, and this year’s theme is all about letting kids know that He custom-designed them with a special purpose and has given them power tools for living. Design-based visual aids, activities, movements, and more are centered around the Strong Tower theme.

We are also using Boomwhackers, which are percussive pitch tubes.  Each tube is a different color, which stands for a different note in the scale.  To sound the pitch, the kids strike the tube on the floor.  We have been having fun with these.  We are working on a song to sing for the church soon.  Thank you for your support!
